There was huge opposition from the beginning regarding the Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency which comes under Muzaffarpur. A large faction of LJP was angry over Veena Devi’s candidature and more than 50 workers left the party, but this big move and experiment of Chirag Paswan forced RJD and the opposition camp to think again. The result was that people crowned the outgoing MP Veena Devi. Veena Devi got 567043 votes while Munna Shukla got 477409.
NOTA and independent candidates got 87 thousand votes
As soon as the counting started at 8 AM in the counting centre, RJD took a lead in postal ballots, where on one hand RJD candidate Munna Shukla got 1210 votes in postal ballots, whereas NDA candidate Veena Devi got 818 votes, but after that as soon as the EVMs were opened, the situation changed and Veena Devi started taking the lead in all the rounds. Veena Devi got the maximum votes in Vaishali, Minapur, Kanti and Baruraj and by 1 PM everything was almost clear. Not only this, but in Vaishali alone more than 27 thousand people chose NOTA.
There were indications of victory as soon as the counting began
Veena Devi, who defeated RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh in the 2019 elections in Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency, started increasing her lead as soon as the counting started in the morning and continued this sequence till the end. After which RJD candidate Munna Shukla realized this and at around 2.30 pm he left the counting place.
The use of RJD proved ineffective
After giving the ticket, there was a lot of opposition in one camp of LJP against LJP candidate Veena Devi. Not only this, more than 4 dozen party members left the party membership over the name of the candidate. It was told that there is a lot of opposition in the area against the current MP, but despite all this opposition, Chirag Paswan expressed confidence and gave the ticket and won. Here, RJD made the fight interesting in Vaishali by experimenting with caste to caste in Vaishali and giving ticket to Vaishali’s strong candidate and former MLA of Lalganj, Munna Shukla, and this experiment of Mahagathbandhan also became a problem for NDA.
Two assemblies made the path easier
In Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency with 6 assembly constituencies, RJD had the highest hopes of winning in RJD’s strongholds Minapur and Kanti, but NDA took the lead there. On the contrary, out of BJP’s three strongholds, except Baruraj, BJP got less votes in Sahebganj and Paru where BJP has sitting MLAs.

Chirag Paswan did everything possible to ensure the victory of Veena Devi in Vaishali. This is the reason why Chirag Paswan targeted 5 assembly constituencies by conducting road shows in two days before the voting in this area in the sixth phase and during this he conducted one road show of 6 hours and another road show of 4 hours.
