Varanasi Fire: Clothing shop caught fire due to short circuit, goods worth lakhs burnt to ashes

A cloth shop located in Mubarakpur of Mirzamurad area in Varanasi caught fire due to short circuit on Wednesday morning. In which clothes and other goods worth about 6 lakh were burnt to ashes. With the help of the villagers, the fire could be brought under control after a lot of effort.

A fire broke out in a clothes shop named Khushbu Vastralaya located in Mubarakpur (Benipur) village of Mirzamurad area on Wednesday morning due to short circuit and the whole face started burning in smoke. At that time the family members were sleeping on the terrace of the house. Neighbor Vijay Kesari’s eyes fell on the smoke coming out of the shop, then he started shouting fire and on seeing it, a crowd of hundreds of people gathered there.

Due to the fire inside the shop, there was smoke in the whole house. The shopkeepers were unable to muster the courage to come down. On the information of the villagers, the employees of the Electricity Department cut off the electricity. So here the villagers somehow managed to open the shutter and after a lot of effort, the fire was brought under control after hours. Due to which people heaved a sigh of relief. Shop owner Bablu Kesari told that we have suffered a loss of about Rs 6 lakh due to electrical short circuit.
