Youth shot dead in money transaction in Cholapur

Sonu Rajbhar (age 27), son of Deepan Rajbhar, a resident of Khanuan Lashkarpur under Danganj Cholapur police station area in Varanasi, has been shot dead due to a minor dispute. There is resentment among the local people regarding the incident. Sonu Rajbhar has been admitted to the trauma center for medical treatment by the family and members of the gram sabha. It is being told that there was a dispute between Sonu Rajbhar and Virendra Yadav regarding the transaction of money. Virendra Yadav called Sonu Rajbhar at Lashkarpur at 8 am on Sunday and demanded money. Due to Virendra Yadav having a weapon, there was an altercation between the two.

In the midst of an argument, Virender Yadav opened fire with the intention of killing Sonu. Sonu Rajbhar immediately extended his hand towards the weapon, as a result of which the bullet passed through the chest and went towards the hand. After this Virendra Yadav escaped from the spot. Sonu Rajbhar was immediately brought to the Community Health Center Cholapur. From where the trauma center was referred via Kabirchaura.
The local people informed the police about the incident. It is being told that Virendra Yadav is a rogue type of person. Krishna Kumar Singh alias Jayant Singh was shot dead in April 2021 during the Panchayat elections in Sahdi. In which when the name of Virendra Yadav came to light, the Cholapur police sent him to jail. Virendra Yadav was released on bail after going to jail. Different types of discussions are coming out regarding the incident.
