Election Commission National Electoral Council chief Elvis Amoroso said that Nicolas Maduro got 51 percent of the votes, while Edmundo Gonzalez got 44 percent of the votes. He said that these results are based on votes cast at 80 percent of the polling stations. However, as soon as the results came out, the opposition was shocked.
