Vi launched 5G service in these cities, is your city also included in the list?


Vi 5G Service: Vodafone Idea (Vi) has started 5G service in the country. Some reports say that the company has launched it in 17 cities of the country. These cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru etc. At present, 5G connectivity is being provided only in some parts of these cities. Now by starting this service on a small scale, the company has entered the 5G space. Its scope will increase in the coming days, which will benefit other customers also.

Prepaid and postpaid users will be able to avail benefits

Vi has deployed 5G on 3.3GHz and 26GHz spectrum. Prepaid as well as postpaid users of the company can avail its benefit. Some users have also shared screenshots of 5G service being enabled in their smartphones.

In which recharge plan will 5G connectivity be available?

To take advantage of Vi’s 5G connectivity, users will have to recharge Rs 475. Whereas postpaid users will have to take REDX 1101 for this. Let us tell you that the CEO of the company had said earlier this year that Vi will start 5G service in the next 6-7 months. 

Service started in these cities

The company currently has operations in Karnal in Haryana, Jaipur in Rajasthan, Kolkata and Siliguri, the capital of West Bengal, Thrikkakara in Kerala, Lucknow and Agra, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, Patna in Bihar, This service has been started in parts of Worli in Mumbai, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Jalandhar in Punjab, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, Pune in Maharashtra and Okhla in Delhi. 

Airtel and Jio have already launched 5G

Vodafone Idea is lagging far behind in terms of 5G rollout. Jio and Airtel started 5G connectivity in 2022 itself. In this matter, only government company BSNL is lagging behind Vodafone Idea. BSNL is currently providing only 4G service.
