The actress revealed that when she married filmmaker Siddharth Roy Kapur, she once went out in search of her home. She said, “We looked at about 25 houses but couldn’t agree on anything. Finally, they found a house they both liked, but it was a rental and something she wasn’t comfortable with. The actress said, ‘I did not want to live in a rented house.
Why did Vidya take a rented house?,
After struggling to find their ideal home, they revisited the same property and decided to rent it. Explaining the reason behind renting the same house, the Kismat Connection actress said that it is rare to find a garden and a sea view in such a densely populated city. He joked that the arrangement worked out well for the couple, as their landlord was happy to “earn a big cheque” from the deal.
Finding the ideal home is a matter of luck
Vidya Balan further said that finding the ideal home is determined by destiny, she said that one can feel ownership upon entering the house. Recalling her experience of house hunting with her mother about 15 years ago, she revealed that she was looking for a place close to her work in Bandra or Juhu to avoid the long journey to Chembur. During her search, the actress found her ideal home, but it was beyond her budget. He told that his mother inspired him to focus on managing EMIs and ultimately it became easier to purchase.
