Recalling auditioning for TV shows during her college, Vidya insisted, “However the first show I was signed for never worked. That’s when I got ‘Hum Paanch’. My parents were okay with it as they felt TV is a safe option and the show is a comedy and a clean family watch. He further said, “Looking back, I think everything went well. After leaving the show, I started doing ad films and it remained in my favour. I think if I had not left TV, I would not have been doing any other work.”
After a film was canceled, it was saidthe wretched’
Giving more details, Vidya also told that she was offered a role in a Malayalam film opposite Mohanlal but unfortunately the project was cancelled. Apart from this, he was informally approached for several other projects, but once the rumors about the canceled film started spreading, he was labeled as “wretched” and because of this many projects fell out of his hands.
Vidya had lost faith in herself
The Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress further said, “He did not realize that the industry was going through difficult times. I was called wretched and because of that I lost faith in myself. It was a tough time and I faced a lot of rejections. Although I was still doing ad films. I met Pradeep Sarkar and on the first day he told me that I will make a film with you. So there was no question of choosing ‘Parineeta’, the film chose me. ,
