In a domestic dispute in Sagarpur area, a young man attacked his wife with a knife. The seriously injured woman has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The victim has been identified as Mamta. Since the dispute on August 28, the woman was living separately from her husband with her children. Police have registered a case of attempted murder and arrested the accused husband Sudhir Kumar from Uttam Nagar.
According to the information, after getting the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and found out that the family members had taken the injured woman to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. The police reached the hospital and saw that the woman’s neck had been attacked with a knife. She was not in a condition to give a statement. The woman regained consciousness after about six hours. The police registered a case of attempted murder on the statement of the woman.
Initial investigation revealed that the injured woman was Mamta. She was having a quarrel with her husband Sudhir over a domestic issue. Due to which Mamta was living separately from her husband with her three children in Sagarpur area. On August 28, her husband Sudhir came to her house to meet her. There both of them had a fight over a domestic issue. Sudhir got angry and brought a vegetable cutting knife from the kitchen and attacked Mamta’s neck repeatedly and fled from there. Police raided Sudhir’s hideouts and arrested him from Uttam Nagar on August 29.
