Sunil Gavaskar’s Prediction On Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli will celebrate his 35th birthday on November 5, 2023, in which only a few days are left. These days, King Kohli will celebrate his birthday during the ongoing Mahakumbh of cricket in India i.e. Cricket World Cup 2023. On his birthday, King will play a match against South Africa in Kolkata. Before Kohli’s 35th birthday, former veteran Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has made a big prediction.

Actually Sunil Gavaskar says that Kohli will score his 50th ODI century on his birthday i.e. 5th November in the match against South Africa. Kohli has so far touched the figure of 48 in terms of centuries in ODIs. Last Sunday (October 22), in the match played against New Zealand in Dharamshala, Kohli played an inning of 95 runs, missing out on a century.

While talking on ‘Star Sports’, Sunil Gavaskar said, “Kohli will score his 50th ODI century in the match against South Africa on his birthday on 5th November.” Before this, Team India will play against England on 29 October and Sri Lanka on 2 November. In such a situation, to score his 50th century against South Africa, Kohli will have to score a century in either of the two matches played before that, which will be his 49th ODI hundred.

Will break Sachin’s record

If we talk about the maximum number of centuries in ODI, it has been scored by former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had scored 49 centuries in his ODI career. Whereas Kohli has reached 48 centuries. In such a situation, after completing 50 centuries, he will also become the batsman who has scored the most centuries in the format, breaking the record of legendary Tendulkar.

Let us tell you that Virat Kohli has played 286 ODI matches so far. In 274 innings of these matches, he has scored 13437 runs at an average of 58.16. During this period, apart from 48 centuries, he has also scored 69 half-centuries. His high score in the same format has been 183 runs.
