What is voice cloning?
Voice cloning is a technology that is used to imitate a person’s voice. This fake voice is created with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is exactly like the voice. The method of copying the voice is called voice cloning. This voice is copied so well that it is difficult for anyone to differentiate between the real and fake voice.
How to identify?
First of all, pay special attention to calls coming from unknown numbers and do not trust their words immediately. You can use Truecaller to identify fake calls. If any relative or friend of yours receives a call from an unknown number, be alert. Try to disconnect the call and call the person on his real number and talk to him.
If the person makes an excuse of losing the phone or insists in some other way, then ask him some questions which only you two know about. If he is a fraud, he will not be able to answer. If you still doubt him, ask him to come on a video call and proceed further only after verification.
