Volodymyr Zelenskyy On PM Modi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a visit to Ukraine on Friday (23 August 2024). Here he advocated resolving the Russia-Ukraine war through dialogue. After this, while talking to news agency ANI, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that India will play its role. He said, âI think India has started recognizing that this is not just a war, it is a real war of one person Putin against an entire country, Ukraine.â
âYou can stop PutinâŚâ
The Ukrainian President praised Indiaâs dominance and said, âYou are a big country, your influence is huge and you can stop Putin and stop his economy and really put him in his place.â After this, Zelensky met PM in the capital Kiev. Narendra Modi He described the meeting with PM Modi as historic. He said, âI am very grateful to the Prime Minister for coming. This is a good beginning with some practical steps. If PM Modi has any ideas about peace, then we will be happy to talk about it.â
Putin does not want peace â Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Prime Minister Modi wants peace more than Russian President Vladimir Putin. The problem is that Putin does not want peace. I donât know what they talked about when they had the meeting⌠If you attack children in a hospital during the Prime Ministerâs official visit⌠then, he has to recognize that he (the Russian President) does not respect India or control his military. That means he does not respect the Indian Prime Minister. He is not as smart as his Russian TV show.â

Many countries were upset with the PMâs visit to Russia
The Prime Ministerâs visit to Ukraine is being seen in many circles as a diplomatic balance, as his visit to Russia had caused resentment in Western countries. Before the Ukraine visit, PM Modi had talked to Zelensky during the G-7 summit in Apulia, Italy in June. In that meeting, Zelensky had invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Kiev.
