Residents of village Garhi Nagla Sheoran of Khair assembly constituency refused to vote in the morning. He was upset over the high tension line not being removed from the population despite repeated applications. When the news was received, the administrative officials rushed to the spot. When the officials assured that the HT line would be removed from the colony, voting could begin at 10 am.

SDM Digvijay Singh, SDO Khair and JE Sofa villager Devendra Singh, who reached the village, told that on April 21, a 25-year-old videographer resident of village Hirola had died after being hit by an HT line during his son’s engagement. About three months ago, a 25-year-old mason, resident of Chaudhana, lost his life while building a house. About seven months ago, 15-year-old Pinky, a village resident, had died after coming in contact with a high tension line.

Virendra Singh, former head and master of the village, said that till now about twenty villagers have come under the influence of HT line at different times. Along with giving assurance of removing the high tension line from the streets of the village, the SDM also directed the SDO to immediately prepare a budget and get the line removed. After this, voting could start from ten in the morning.
