When the devotees coming from all over the country started keeping the spectacles, mobiles, purses and prasad safe in Vrindavan of Mathura, the monkeys have now started taking away the caps, peak caps and mufflers from the heads of the devotees. Monkeys in Banke Bihari temple area are becoming a problem for the devotees in winter. At the same time, local youth are charging a fee for the convenience of getting rid of caps and mufflers from the monkeys. The monkeys carrying the cap from their heads have become a subject of curiosity for the devotees.
In winter, the monkeys of Vrindavan are adopting a new method to get fruits and food items from the devotees. Devotees coming from all over the country have come to know about the monkeys who are adept in carrying glasses from face, mobile phone and purse from hand and have become cautious and have started keeping valuables safely to protect them from monkeys, but devotees wear hats to protect themselves from cold. Since they are coming wearing masks, the monkeys have also started taking off their caps, mullets and P-caps.
Devotees are facing trouble to save caps and mufflers from monkeys during winter time. Local youth have made a means of income by rescuing monkeys when they take away their caps. They are liberating caps and mullets from the unruly monkeys by giving them fruits and in return they are taking 50 to 100 rupees from the devotees.
Kishorepura resident Rohit Kumar, Sant Colony resident Sonu and Mayank told that a rally has been set up at Vidyapeeth intersection to go to Banke Bihari temple. In this rally, devotees stand in line wearing hats, caps and mufflers in winter. Then the monkeys take away the cap etc. from their heads. In this way, more than 300 devotees fall prey to monkeys from one place throughout the day. They release the belongings of the devotees by giving them fruits. Whatever the devotees give in return, they keep it.

Harinikunj Square, Vidyapeeth Square, Gautampada Square, Pakka Chabutra, Bankebihari Police Chowki, Bankebihari Temple Square, VIP Road, Jadaun Parking, Jugalghat Square, Vankhandi Square, Opposite Radhadamodar Temple, Opposite Shahji Temple, Nidhivan Marg, Radharaman Temple Square, Devotees are the biggest victims of monkeys in areas like Cheerghat etc.
