Ingredients for making Moong Dal Halwa
To make moong dal halwa, take 1 cup yellow moong dal, 1 cup lukewarm milk, 1 cup lukewarm water, 1 cup sugar, ½ cup ghee, ½ teaspoon cardamom powder, a little saffron and finely chopped almonds for garnish. Take it.

Recipe to make Moong Dal Halwa
To make moong dal halwa, first soak the dal in water for 6 hours. If you want, you can also soak the lentils overnight. After the lentils swell, filter and separate the water. Now put the dal in the mixer grinder and add a little water to it and grind the dal until it becomes slightly coarse. Mix 1 spoon lukewarm milk and saffron in the same bowl and keep it aside. Now heat ghee in a non-stick pan and add ground moong dal to it and stir. After roasting on medium flame for half an hour, the dal will start turning golden brown. Then mix lukewarm milk and water in it.
After stirring for some time, add sugar to it. Now after cooking on medium flame, add saffron solution and cardamom powder to the halwa. Keep stirring continuously for some time, in such a situation when the halwa starts leaving the pan, turn off the gas. Your moong dal halwa is ready. Garnish it with almonds and serve it hot.
