As soon as these people touch water, their mouth, hands, legs, shoulders and torso start getting red rashes, hives and itching. Let us tell you that a drop of water, tears, raindrops, snow, sweat, river, sea water becomes dangerous for them. However, here the temperature of water does not matter for allergy, that is, it does not matter whether the water is cold or hot.
What is the treatment?
There is currently no permanent cure for aquagenic urticaria. Every possible effort is made to keep the patient away from water. Along with this, some medicines are given to reduce the reaction after coming in contact with water so that rashes and pimples on the skin can be reduced. Many people take the help of phototherapy, due to which the upper layer of the skin (epidermis) becomes so thick that water cannot come in contact with the inner layer of the skin.
