It was cloudy in many areas of the state on Thursday. A decrease of eight to ten degrees has been recorded in the maximum temperature.

Heavy snowfall: Yatra to Hemkund Sahib halted
The snowfall that started in Hemkund Sahib from Wednesday evening continued till Thursday morning. In view of the heavy snowfall, the Yatra to Hemkund Sahib has been stopped for the time being. Offline and online registration for the yatra has been banned till May 27. Due to snowfall, 1,000 pilgrims from Ghangaria have been sent back to Govindghat, while around 300 pilgrims are waiting for the weather to clear in Ghangaria itself. However, the snowfall stopped at two in the afternoon. Now the passengers will be sent to Hemkund only when the weather is clear.
