The active monsoon in Uttar Pradesh seems to be weakening again. The weather department had predicted good rain for Friday, but it was limited to some areas of western UP. Muzaffarnagar recorded 14.8 mm of rain and Bulandshahr recorded 8 mm of rain, while eastern UP and Terai areas received good rain on Thursday night.

According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, as the low pressure belt is moving towards southern UP, there is a possibility of light rain in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi etc. For good rain, one will have to wait for the next two days. If we talk about the maximum temperature, on Friday it was recorded at 37 degree Celsius in Basti. It was 36.2 in Orai and 36 degree Celsius in Najibabad and Bulandshahr. Whereas, the lowest temperature in the state was 21.5 degree Celsius in Ghazipur, 23.6 in Gorakhpur and 23.5 degree Celsius in Barabanki.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain on Saturday in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar and surrounding areas of southern UP. At the same time, rain warning has also been issued in Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Mahoba, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.

A warning of thunder and lightning has been issued for Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.
