Due to slow monsoon activity in Uttar Pradesh, there is no possibility of good rain in UP for the next two to three days. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in the southern and western areas on Friday.
On Thursday, clouds returned without raining in most parts of the state. Due to this, there was humid heat and a rise in the day temperature was also recorded. 2 mm of rain was recorded in Etawah and 1.2 mm in Aligarh.
According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, at present, due to the weakening of the active weather system in the state and the low pressure area shifting southwards from its normal position, there will be a decrease in the intensity and area of âârain. However, after the monsoon becomes active again from September 2, there will be chances of good rain.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in the state was 37 degrees Celsius in Prayagraj. Bahraich recorded 36.4 degrees and Basti recorded 36 degrees Celsius. Talking about the minimum temperature, Meerut recorded the lowest temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius, Muzaffarnagar recorded 21.2 degrees and Ghazipur recorded 23 degrees Celsius.
