With the gradual increase in day temperature in UP, the maximum temperature of Lucknow is again moving towards creating a record. In Lucknow and surrounding districts on Thursday, the day temperature was 42.4 degrees and the night temperature was recorded at a minimum of 25.2 degrees Celsius. The day temperature has increased by more than one degree but the night temperature has fallen by almost one degree. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was 41.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was 26.3 degrees.
According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior meteorologist of the Zonal Meteorological Center, the system developing between May 18 and 20 is indicating the possibility of heat wave. Heat wave may prevail in Lucknow and surrounding areas also.

The mercury started rising in the afternoon
The day temperature between 10 to 12 in the morning was between 37 degrees to 39 degrees. Whereas by 12.30 the mercury reached 40 degrees and then kept increasing and reached 42.4 degrees Celsius.
Difficult to walk in the afternoon
The heat of the sun was being felt since Thursday morning. Around 10 in the morning it started feeling like afternoon. Due to clear sky the sun was very bright.
Mercury can reach 45 degrees
If we look at the forecasts of the Meteorological Department, the day temperature can reach 45 degrees this week and there is also a possibility of heat wave during that time. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 43 to 45 and the night temperature is expected to be between 27 to 29.
