After Lohri in Agra, the cold is believed to subside, this time the situation seems to have changed. There doesn’t seem to be any respite from the cold wind at the moment. Melting and fog are also being faced. Sun God is not visible till 10 am. The sunshine in the afternoon is definitely providing relief. According to the Meteorological Department, there can be soaking rain along with cold.
There was dense fog on Sunday morning, due to which visibility on the highway was zero. Fog started engulfing the city late at night. Due to fog, vehicles kept moving on the roads till 10 am. After 12 noon, Sun God was seen and the sun came out. There was hope of getting some relief from this but due to the cold wind, there was not much relief in the sun.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain on Tuesday may drench the cold. However, there will not be much change in the temperature. Even after this, the misery of melting and icy wind will continue to haunt the people. The minimum temperature reached 4 degrees Celsius on Sunday night. Because of this, the incidence of melting is more visible. On Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 20.8 degrees Celsius.
Long wait for buses too
Due to fog, the wait for buses is becoming longer in the morning and night. Long route buses are mostly operated at night. Due to excessive fog, buses from Dehradun are getting canceled continuously, while buses coming from Lucknow are getting delayed by one to two hours. Due to this, the problems of passengers are increasing on ISBT. Many buses were delayed due to fog on Sunday morning.
Taj Mahal not visible in the morning
The number of tourists visiting Taj Mahal is more on Sunday. Many tourists reached Taj Mahal in the morning but could not see the main monument due to fog. The main monument disappeared in the fog. Many tourists also see Taj Mahal from Mehtab Park side but due to fog, Taj Mahal is not being captured in the cameras of tourists. Tourists are also getting disappointed due to this.
