The monsoon, which was moving slowly for the last two days, is now going to be kind to the entire state for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will come back in full swing from Wednesday and heavy to very heavy rains are expected in most parts of the state for the next three to four days. This rain, suitable for transplanting paddy, will also provide relief to people from heat and humidity. From Monday night to Tuesday morning, 70 mm of rain was recorded in Rampur and Sonbhadra districts, 60 mm in Gorakhpur and 50 mm in Bareilly. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, there are signs of increase in the intensity and area of rain due to the monsoon turf shifting to its normal position towards the north.

Continuous rain in the past few days had an effect on the mercury, due to which the day temperature remained below normal. On Tuesday the maximum temperature was above normal in most of the cities. An increase of up to 3.7 degrees was recorded in it. On Tuesday the temperature in Varanasi in the state was 38.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 38.2 degrees and in Basti at 37 degrees Celsius. While talking about the minimum temperature, the night temperature was 23.4 degrees in Najibabad, 23.5 degrees in Meerut and 24 degrees in Bareilly.
There is an orange alert for heavy rain for these areas
For Wednesday, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in the Terai areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Shravasti, Bahraich, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj etc., as well as Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur etc.
