From Monday night to Tuesday morning, 70 mm of rain was recorded in Rampur and Sonbhadra districts, 60 mm in Gorakhpur and 50 mm in Bareilly. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, there are signs of increase in the intensity and area of ​​rain due to the monsoon turf shifting to its normal position towards the north.

The maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 38.2 degrees and in Basti at 37 degrees Celsius. While talking about the minimum temperature, the night temperature was 23.4 degrees in Najibabad, 23.5 degrees in Meerut and 24 degrees in Bareilly.

For Wednesday, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in the Terai areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Shravasti, Bahraich, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj etc., as well as Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur etc.
