It is the third week of July and people waiting for good rains are disappointed due to the slowdown in monsoon in the state. Humidity and heat are also showing their effect. On Thursday, people expecting relief from the increase in temperature in many areas of the state were troubled. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, effective rain is expected in the state when monsoon returns to its normal state from July 21. However, in the meantime, sporadic rains cannot be ruled out.
On Thursday, some parts of UP received sporadic rainfall. Meerut received 50 mm, Hardoi 24 mm and Najibabad 12 mm of rain. Talking about the maximum day temperature in the state on Thursday, Kanpur recorded 40.8 degrees, Prayagraj 39.8 degrees and Basti 38 degrees Celsius. At night, Basti recorded the lowest temperature of 24.5 degrees Celsius, Ghazipur 26 degrees, Barabanki and Fatehpur 26.2 degrees Celsius.
There is a lightning warning in Terai and Western Uttar Pradesh
On Friday, a warning of thunder and lightning has been issued for the Terai areas of the state including Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, S.K. Nagar, Basti, besides Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Farrukhabad, Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bagpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Madhura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and surrounding areas.
