Weather Update IMD alert for Heatwave in Delhi UP and Rajasthan Punjab Know the latest forecast in India


Weather Update: The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc across the country. Many areas of the country are in the grip of heatwave. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding heatwave in the country. According to IMD, severe heatwave conditions are likely to continue in the plains including North-West India.

IMD said that heat wave conditions will persist in the Western Himalayan region, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during the next 3 days. Apart from this, severe heat will continue in the national capital Delhi till May 30. However, there is a possibility of relief from the heat after this.

When will Delhi get relief from heat

The Meteorological Department said that the temperature in the national capital Delhi is expected to remain between 45 to 46 degrees from May 27 to May 30. After this, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi-NCR on May 31. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be 44 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 30 degrees.

The heat will hit the plains even more

According to IMD, heat wave conditions will continue in the plains of the country. There will be severe heat in Rajasthan from 27 to 29 May, after which it will gradually decrease. Along with this, many areas of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh will be affected by severe heat from 27 to 29 May. There will be a severe heat wave in some areas of Western Uttar Pradesh, Western Madhya Pradesh from 27 to 29 May. Hot winds are likely to blow in the Western Himalayan region, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh for the next 3 days.

How will the weather be in the states of South India

The Meteorological Department said that monsoon is likely to reach Kerala in the next 5 days. IMD has predicted strong winds at a speed of 30-40 kmph in Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim between 27 and 31 May. Light to moderate rain may also occur during this period. Apart from this, thunderstorms and rain with lightning have been predicted in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka on 27 May. Strong winds are likely in Gujarat on 27 and 28 May.

Weather pattern will change in hilly areas

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be sporadic light rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Uttarakhand from 27 to 31 May. At the same time, similar conditions are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 30 to 31 May.
