The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning in many states of the country. According to the IMD, heatwave is likely to occur in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, western Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Odisha on May 30. Apart from this, heatwave conditions will persist in Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha and parts of Chhattisgarh.
