How is selection done in Namo Drone Didi Scheme?
To empower women and provide them more employment opportunities, the Central Government had launched the Drone Didi Scheme in the month of November in the year 2023. To be selected in this scheme, women have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria. There are many self-help groups for women in India.
The Government of India has set a target of training more than 15,000 women of these self-help groups under the Namo Drone Didi Scheme. To take advantage of this, it is mandatory for women to be active members of the group. Along with this, Indian citizenship is mandatory for them. Age must be between 18 to 37 years.
These benefits will be available in the scheme
Under Namo Drone Didi Scheme, women are given training for 15 days. For which they are also given ₹ 15000 as stipend. This amount is sent to their account through direct benefit transfer. The government aims to benefit 15,000 women associated with more than 10 crore self-help groups under this scheme. Under this scheme, drones are also given to women by the government after completion of training.
Documents required for the scheme
To avail the benefits of the scheme, women must have some documents. In which it is mandatory to have Aadhar card, residence certificate, PAN card, email ID, phone number, ID card of self-help group and passport size photo.
