In this month, people worship Shiva in their own way. In Hinduism, Lord Shiva holds the highest position, i.e. as the God of Gods. Now the question is what should be eaten and what should not be eaten in this month.

Why should non-veg not be eaten?

• In the month of Sawan, people do not eat non-veg for religious reasons. But the question is why non-veg should not be eaten during the monsoon and what is the scientific reason behind it. Let us tell you that due to heavy rains in the monsoon, the humidity in the air increases, after which the risk of fungal infection, mildew and fungus starts increasing. At the same time, food items start rotting faster than normal, because there is a lack of direct sunlight and light in the rainy season.

• Let us tell you that during the rainy season, the humidity in the atmosphere increases, due to which the digestive power also weakens. At the same time, non-veg foods take more time to digest, but due to weak digestion, the food is not digested and the risk of stomach problems and food poisoning increases.

• At the same time, the number of insects increases a lot due to rain. Not only this, mosquitoes of chikungunya and dengue start increasing. It affects animals as well as humans, so consuming the meat of these cattle can harm the body.

• During the rainy season, water gets contaminated. It also affects fishes, so eating fish during the rainy season is prohibited.

• This is the breeding season for fishes, animals and birds. In such a situation, if someone eats a pregnant animal, he may also have hormonal problems. Therefore, eating non-veg during the rainy season is prohibited.
