96-year-old Lal Krishna Advani was born in 1927 in Karachi, Pakistan. His political journey has been interesting. Here he first joined Jan Sangh, then continued to hold important responsibilities in Janata Party along with Deendayal Upadhyay and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. After the Emergency, he became a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 1988, he became the Home Minister of India for the first time. He was the Deputy Prime Minister of the country during the government of Atal Bihar Vajpayee from June 2002 to May 2004.
