What will be the impact of delay in CUET UG results on students? All these problems will arise

At present, there are reports of irregularities in many examinations in the country. The NET exam has been cancelled while there is a constant demand to cancel the NEET exam. However, the matter is still in the Supreme Court. But in the meantime, the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University says that the National Testing Agency (NTA) should take necessary steps to prevent such incidents. At the same time, he has also expressed his opinion on the delay in the results of CUET.

Apart from NEET and NET, the testing agency also conducted the CUET exam, but now its results are also getting delayed. Actually, CUET UG Exam 2024 was conducted on 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 29 May 2024 at various examination centers located in 26 cities abroad including 379 cities in India. But it took the agency less than a month to release the provisional answer key of the exam.

The provisional answer key of the exam was released on 7 July and the objection window was closed on 09 July. However, there is still suspense regarding the final answer key and results of the exam. Due to the delay in the results, the admission process in undergraduate courses is getting delayed. Due to which students and institutions may face problems in the future.

Session will start late

According to a TOI report, DU VC Yogesh Singh says that due to the delay in the results of CUET UG, the session of the first semester students will be delayed. There will be a delay of about two weeks for the first year graduate course. It is difficult to decide the exact date right now. If the results are delayed by three weeks, the session will be delayed by two weeks. The university hopes that the academic session for first year students will start between August 16 and 21.

These problems may occur

At the same time, some other experts say that it may take more time to complete the syllabus. There will not be enough time for revision. The time that students used to get for preparation between assignments or tests may be reduced. Which may affect their results. Students’ grades/percentage may decrease. Apart from this, there will be pressure on teachers to complete the course quickly. If classes are conducted after college time to complete the course, then its negative effect can also be seen on teachers and students.
