What does single tick mean on WhatsApp?
With the help of the blue tick feature of WhatsApp, we come to know that the other person has read our messages. In this you see two ticks, which are in blue colour. On the other hand, if we talk about single tick, then it happens that you have sent a message to someone from your phone and that message has been delivered on the receiver’s WhatsApp server, although this does not mean that the person has received this message. In simple language, when you messaged someone and it went from single to double tick, it means that the person has not blocked you. On the other hand, if your single tick remains single for a long time, then it is possible that the person in front of you has blocked you.
How to detect blocking?
- In case of blocking, you cannot see the online status of any contact.
- You won’t be able to see that contact’s changed profile photo.
- When you send a message to a contact who has blocked you, only a gray checkmark will appear to indicate that the message has been sent. Another checkmark will not appear on those messages.
- You will not be able to call any contact who has blocked you.
- If you’re a group administrator, you won’t be able to add them to any groups.
- If you see all of the indicators above for a contact, they may have blocked you. However, this can happen due to other reasons also.
- WhatsApp’s guidelines say that when someone blocks you, they cannot tell you about it.
