WhatsApp Scam: More than 2 billion people use WhatsApp worldwide. While having such a large number of userbase is a matter of advantage for the company, on the other hand it is also like a goldmine for hackers and cybercriminals. This is because cybercriminals can easily earn money by targeting people here. Meanwhile, a new type of scam is going on on WhatsApp in which people are getting calls and messages from international numbers.

Most calls to WhatsApp users are coming from Ethiopia (+251), Malaysia (+60), Indonesia (+62), Kenya (+254) and Vietnam (+84). According to reports, some agencies are selling these foreign numbers to people, taking advantage of which cybercriminals are targeting people. Many users on Twitter have mentioned about fraud calls and messages coming from international numbers. If you ever receive any message or call from an international number, do not answer it and immediately block the number and report it to WhatsApp.

Another type of fraud is going on on WhatsApp that cyber criminals are luring some people into their trap by luring them with jobs. First people are asked to complete a task after which they are also given some reward. As if the person in front trusts the caller, then cybercriminals trap them in their trap and take away their money.
