Experts say that if the government withdraws exports, it will increase the income of farmers and businessmen.

Ban on export of wheat may be removed
According to media reports, churning is going on at the Center at the top level to lift the ban on the export of wheat. Santosh Kumar Sarangi, director general of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), said that the government will take a decision around March-April on the demand for lifting the ban on wheat exports. This will be the time of wheat harvesting.

Balance of wheat stock will be seen in the country
Santosh Kumar Sarangi had come to Indore to participate in the Global Investors Conference ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh’ organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. During this, he said that the central government does not want to be negligent in lifting the ban on the export of wheat. First it will be decided that there is a difference between the demand and supply of wheat in the country. If demand and supply are balanced, then only export removal will be considered. Wheat crop is usually harvested in the country in March-April. At this time the central government will take a decision.

The ban was imposed on 13 May
India had imposed a ban on May 13, 2022 to control wheat prices. In this regard, in a notification published in the official gazette, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, while justifying this ban, has informed that rising global prices of wheat have put pressure on food security not only in India but also in neighboring and vulnerable countries.
