When Govinda banned short clothes
In the Time Out with Ankit podcast, Govinda’s wife Sunita told that she got married when she was 18 years old and gave birth to a daughter at the age of 19.
Sunita said- I used to wear mini skirts. I switched from mini skirts to saree. I used to wear short skirts, that’s why Govinda didn’t like me. He used to say that does she bring a dog with her. She wears such short clothes. So I said friend I am from Bandra and you are from Virar. So Govinda said no friend I am not going to get along like this. So I said if a girl comes into the film industry and wears short clothes then it’s okay, what if my wife wears it? So he used to say that it won’t suit my mother, so I said okay let’s wear a saree, what difference does it make.
Govinda thought Sunita was smart
Once, on Simi Growal’s show, Govinda had said that he and his wife were very different. Govinda was completely Desi and Sunita was completely high-fi.
