On this, his wife Vijeta says that Arun has been working for Ayodhya for 6 months. He has not been taking any other work for the last 6 months. Talking about the idols, his wife says that he makes mostly stone idols. Also, there are many workers but when it comes to the face of the idol, they do the work themselves.
Yogiraj, a resident of Mysore, belongs to a family of famous sculptors. He says that his family has been doing this work for 250 years i.e. last five generations. Yogiraj, 38, is counted among the most sought-after sculptors of the country. Although he has an MBA degree and worked for some time, he returned to his family profession.
Arun Yogiraj in isolation!
During a phone conversation, Arun Yogiraj’s wife Vijeta told that her husband has been instructed to stay in isolation at this time. Besides, it has also been forbidden to talk to anyone. He talks to me, the children and the entire family only for five minutes a day. After this his phone remains switched off throughout the day. In fact, he is constantly receiving calls, due to which his work is also affected.

Work has been going on for five generations
Arun is not doing the work of carving statues for the first time. His family has been doing idol carving work for five generations. Arun’s father Yogiraj is also a skilled sculptor. His grandfather Basavanna Shilpi was protected by the King of Mysore. Talking about his education, Arun has done MBA. Earlier he was working in a private organization, but in 2008 he left his job and started doing his ancestral work i.e. carving statues.
Arun’s relation with the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose
Whenever you visit India Gate, you must have seen a 30 feet high statue of Subhash Chandra Bose there. This idol has also been prepared by Arun Yogiraj. Actually, this statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was unveiled by PM Modi himself on 8 September 2022. However, before this, in place of this statue, PM Modi had unveiled the hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate on 23 January.
