Nitish Kumar Reddy’s name is in the forefront for the Australian tour. Nitish had scored 303 runs in 13 matches while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. Recently, while making his debut for India, he created a sensation by playing an innings of 74 runs in the T20 match against Bangladesh. According to this report, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and his team want to prepare Nitish as a fast bowling option. Since a long series of five Test matches will be played between India and Australia, there is also news of a lot of net bowlers being sent with the Indian squad.
Shardul Thakur can also be included in Team India’s squad, who made a huge contribution to India’s victory by taking a total of 7 wickets and playing an innings of 67 runs in the match held at Gabba in 2022. Thakur also played an important role in Mumbai winning the Ranji Trophy a few months ago. Either Thakur and Nitish can be selected for the fast bowling role.
