Where did water come from on earth? How seas and oceans were formed, know interesting facts

We all know that about 70 percent of the earth is water. The remaining 20 to 25 percent area is covered with desert, hills and forests. But have you ever wondered where so much water comes from on earth? How were such huge seas and oceans formed? There are many claims about this in science. Some scientists believe that when meteorites came to Earth, they brought with them a large amount of water. Some scientists believe that water was created on earth because of dry wood. But what result came out, let us know.

An attempt was made to find the answer under Japan’s space campaign. The Japanese space probe Hayabusa-2 went into space and when it returned after 6 years, it brought with itself 5.4 grams of rocks and dust. Scientists said that this probe had landed on the surface of an asteroid Ryugu, from there it brought the particles. Then research was done on these. It was found that there are some amino acids in them which might have been made in space only. And it is possible that water may have come through such asteroids.

Asteroids probably the main source of water on Earth
A report published in the Nature Astronomy journal said that C-type asteroids rich in volatile and organic elements were probably the main source of water on Earth. The organic matter found in the particles of Ryugu indicates this. Scientists speculated that such elements might have existed in the outer solar system at that time. Ryugu’s particles are undoubtedly the only material in the solar system that has absolutely no adulteration. These particles can be the reason for the presence of water on Earth. But this is not the final truth. Scientists are still searching for the truth as to where did water come from on Earth?

After all, how did the ocean originate?
Now the answer to the second question, how did the ocean originate? If we look at the Puranas, every ocean has a different story of its origin. But according to science, the oceans must have originated about 100 crore years ago. When the Earth was born, it was a ball of fire. Over millions of years it cooled, and clouds of gas spread around it. After cooling, these clouds became very heavy and started causing continuous torrential rains. This continued to happen for thousands of years. So much water accumulated that pits were formed and water started collecting in them. Later this was called the sea. This is also based only on possibilities. The reality is still being sought.
