In which information about the areas affected by lightning has been given. According to this, Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of lightning incidents. After this comes Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Bengal. Apart from these states, incidents of lightning also occur in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Let us tell you that incidents of lightning are not felt much in the urban areas of the country. But this is a very common phenomenon in rural areas. According to the information, in the year 2019-20, one crore 40 lakh incidents of lightning were recorded in the country. At the same time, in the year 2020-21, the number of such incidents increased to one crore 85 lakh. After this, in the year 2021-22, it had come down to one crore 49 lakh. However, due to the reduction in pollution due to Kovid-19 and the clean atmosphere, a decrease in the incidents of lightning has been recorded.
