Of these, adults suffering from obesity are 650 million, teenagers 340 million and children 39 million.

In India, the number of children aged between 5 to 19 years is 6 crore 30 lakh, while 15 crore 80 lakh people above 20 years of age are suffering from obesity. In which there are some states where the number of obese people is high.

Punjab has the highest number of obese people in India. Where 62.5 percent people are obese. Whereas in Delhi, 59.0 percent people are suffering from obesity. After this, the name of Kerala comes in third place, where 65.4 percent people are suffering from obesity. So the name of Tamil Nadu comes at fourth place, where 57.9 percent people are obese.
