Who holds the record of serving as Chief Minister for the shortest period?

The post of Chief Minister is the most important in any state and the tenure of the post of Chief Minister is usually 5 years. However, due to political turmoil, many times a politician has to leave this post before the completion of his tenure. In such a situation, do you know who is the Chief Minister whose tenure has been the shortest? If not then let us know.

The tenure of this Chief Minister has been the shortest
The title of sitting on the Chief Minister’s chair for the shortest time is in the name of Harish Rawat. Former CM of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat is counted among the big leaders of Congress. Harish Rawat has become the CM of Uttarakhand thrice, although during this period he was never able to complete the tenure of 5 years. There is a record in his name which no CM has been able to match till now. Actually, Harish Rawat holds the record of being the Chief Minister for the shortest period. He became CM for just one day in his second term.

Why did he have to step down from the post of CM after just one day?
Harish Rawat was first elected CM of Uttarakhand on 1 February 2014. Almost two years after becoming the CM, due to political unrest, President’s rule was imposed in the state on March 27, 2016. After which Harish Rawat took oath as the Chief Minister for the second time on 21 April 2016, but the very next day, President’s rule was again imposed in the state and thus a record was registered in his name of being the CM for only 1 day. Although he became the CM again the very next month, his record still stands and this has not happened in the name of any other leader. Apart from this, Devendra Fadnavis, B.S. Yediyurappa and leader Jagadambika have the record of being CM for three days.
