Riddhi Patel News: An Indian-American woman has been arrested in America after threatening to kill the city’s mayor and council members. The woman has been identified as Riddhi Patel. Actually, the city council hearing was going on in Bakersfield, California. During this, Riddhi threatened to kill the city mayor Karen Goh and the council members. His statement has also gone viral.
Riddhi had expressed his displeasure over not supporting the proposal for ceasefire in Gaza. She was also angry that the city council had tightened security outside government buildings because of anti-Israel protests. Police said that Riddhi has been arrested and sent to jail in the case of threat. He was recently brought to the court to file a case. Now Riddhi’s next appearance is on 16, 24 and 25 April.

Riddhi Patel, a resident of Bakersfield, California, is a supporter of Palestine. She often protested against Israel in the city. 28 year old Riddhi is accused of scaring people by threatening the council members and the mayor. When the police presented Riddhi in the court and imposed charges against her, she was also seen crying. Riddhi’s controversial speech given during the hearing in the council has also gone viral on X and TikTok.

Looking at Indian-American Riddhi’s LinkedIn profile, it is revealed that he is an Economic Development Coordinator in an organization named ‘Center for Race, Poverty and the Environment’. According to local media reports, Riddhi had joined this institute in September 2020. He was born in Bakersfield and studied at Stockdale High School in the city. Riddhi has also graduated in Neuroscience from St. Louis University in 2017. She returned to the city in 2019.
What did Riddhi Patel say in his speech?
During the council hearing, Riddhi said, “You all are very bad people and if Jesus Christ were here, he would have killed you himself. None of you care what is happening in Palestine.” Or in a country where people are being tortured, none of you care about how people are being tortured here.
Riddhi further said, “The council people have a parade featuring Mahatma Gandhi and a Hindu festival called Chaitra Navratri is starting this week. Let me remind you that the holidays we celebrate are celebrated by people in the Global South. Know it as a violent revolution against the oppressors. I hope someone comes and kills all of you with a guillotine.”
