Bihar Politics: The political drama that was going on in Bihar for the last three days came to an end on Sunday (January 28). Nitish Kumar once again joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led alliance NDA and also took oath as Chief Minister for the 9th time. Before this, Nitish Kumar reached Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to Governor Vishwanath Arlekar.
On this, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who was the Deputy Chief Minister in Nitish Kumar’s government, said that the game has just started and is yet to be played. Along with this, he made a big claim about Nitish Kumar’s party JDU and said, “Whatever I say, I do. You take it in writing, the party Janata Dal United will end in 2024 itself.”
Reason for Nitish Kumar’s return to NDA?
This is the second time that Nitish Kumar has left the Grand Alliance and joined the NDA. Earlier in the year 2015, JDU and RJD had jointly contested the assembly elections and formed the government by securing majority. At that time it was broken in the year 2017. After this, both of them formed the government together in the year 2022 but now Nitish Kumar again joined NDA. This time both of them remained together for 17 months.
Many types of reactions have been coming to the fore regarding Nitish Kumar’s frequent switching of sides and are coming to the fore regarding the current developments as well. Prashant Kishore, a famous political strategist and carrying out the Jan Suraj Yatra in Bihar, has targeted Nitish Kumar several times. This time also he said that he is the leader of Palturam and those who were saying that the doors in Bihar are closed forever for Nitish Kumar are also Palturam.
Even before this, PK had said that there is no trust in Nitish Kumar when he will turn the tables. During this, he had also predicted Nitish Kumar to join NDA once again. He had said that Nitish Kumar is an expert player of politics and he has left his option of joining NDA. Prashant Kishore had said that a person from Bihar can bring Nitish Kumar to NDA, who is currently holding a constitutional post. Although he did not disclose the name.
How did Lalu Yadav’s game get ruined?
At the same time, Nitish Kumar also ruined Lalu Prasad Yadav’s game. The RJD chief was ready to defeat any move of the JDU chief. Lalu Yadav had asked his party MLAs to remain in Patna for a few days and keep their phones switched off. Also, Lalu Yadav was authorized to take any final decision on behalf of RJD.
Amidst this incident, Lalu Prasad Yadav called Nitish Kumar several times but he did not pick up the phone. Actually, there are 243 seats in Bihar Assembly and the majority figure is 122. At present, JDU has 45 MLAs, RJD has 79 MLAs and BJP has one less MLA, 78 MLAs. In such a situation, if we look at the figures, the party in which Nitish Kumar is in forms the government.
