Why are empty beer bottles hung on the barbed wires at the border? This is the reason

Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers are deployed to protect Indian borders. You must have seen many times in photos and videos that barbed wire has been used to protect the border. But have you noticed that many times empty glass beer bottles are hung on these barbed wires. Today we will tell you the reason behind this.

Border

Indian Army soldiers are always ready to protect the country. Apart from this, BSF has fenced the country’s borders with barbed wire, so that no intruder can enter the country. But do you know that during the winter season, there is so much fog and mist that nothing is visible near the border. During this time, the security forces increase the vigil. But apart from this, the Border Security Force soldiers use another indigenous technique. Yes, the soldiers of the Border Security Force hang empty beer bottles on the barbed wires on the border, these beer bottles work as an alarm for the soldiers.

Empty beer bottle

Let us tell you that BSF has hung empty bottles at some distance on the barbed wire from Rajasthan to Jammu. This is done so that if someone touches the wires, the bottles start ringing after hitting them. Due to which our soldiers become alert. Not only this, if any intruder tries to enter the border by forcibly crossing the wire, then the bottles can also fall along with ringing, this lets the soldiers know that an intruder is trying to enter our country’s border.

How long is the border between Pakistan and India?

According to the information, the total length of the India-Pakistan border is 3323 km. If this border is divided according to the states, then the length of Jammu-Kashmir-Pakistan border is 1225 km, the length of Rajasthan-Pakistan border is 1037 km, the length of Punjab-Pakistan border is 553 km and the length of Gujarat-Pakistan border is 508 km. There are checkpoints at some distance on all these borders, where the soldiers of our country guard the border in different shifts.

Infiltration

From the Pakistani border, both terrorists and smugglers try to infiltrate the Indian border many times. But the soldiers of the Indian Border Security Force are always ready to deal with them and the soldiers keep patrolling these borders 24 hours a day.
