He said that death occurs due to cardiac arrest during exercise.

What is the reason for death?

Senior cardiologist T S Kler has said that cardiac arrest is a common thing these days. It also happens during exercise. Many times it is seen that it is also the cause of a chronic disease. But mostly when sudden high intensity exercises are done, then it is seen that there are chances of sudden heart attack. In such a situation, this can be the reason behind the death of the candidates.

What did the government say?

During the physical efficiency test conducted for the recruitment of Excise Constable in Jharkhand, 11 candidates died. Police gave this information on Sunday. Police had said in a statement that the physical efficiency test under Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination was conducted on August 22 at seven centers in Ranchi, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Palamu, East Singhbhum and Sahebganj districts.

At the same time, Inspector General of Police (Operations) Amol V. Homkar said that four candidates died in Palamu, two each in Giridih and Hazaribagh, one each at Jaguar Center in Ranchi, Musabani and Sahebganj centers in East Singhbhum. He had said that cases of unnatural death have been registered and investigation is going on. According to Homkar, till August 30, a total of 1,27,772 candidates appeared in the physical efficiency test, out of which 78,023 have passed. He said that adequate arrangements including medical teams, medicines, ambulances and drinking water were ensured at all the centers.
