Pakistan News: Narendra Modi is going to take oath as the Prime Minister on 9 June. Many big countries like America, Russia and Italy have congratulated Narendra Modi. India’s neighbouring countries have also congratulated him. But till now no statement has come from Pakistan.

Meanwhile, ahead of Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister, Pakistan on Friday said it wants “cooperative relations” with all its neighbours, including India. Pakistan’s Foreign Office claimed that it wants resolution of disputes through dialogue.

She was seen avoiding the answer

At the same time, when the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Office was asked why she did not congratulate Narendra Modi on his election victory, she seemed to avoid the question. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while answering the question, said that it is the right of the people of India to decide about their leadership.

He said that the country has no comment to make on India’s election process. He further said that since the government is being formed in India, it would be premature to talk about congratulating Narendra Modi.

Many BJP leaders had made fun of Pakistan during election speeches. On this, he said that Pakistan is working responsibly despite the “rhetoric coming from India”.
