On last Sunday i.e. March 26, the list of central contracts of the players was released by the BCCI. KL Rahul has got a big blow in this list. This time he got demotion instead of promotion. Last time KL Rahul was one of the A grade players of Central Contract, but this time he has been included in B grade players. This decision was taken by the BCCI due to Rahul’s poor form.
Will not play ODI World Cup?
Keeping in view of Rahul’s poor form, nothing can be said about it now. Rahul was the regular vice-captain of Team India, but due to poor form, he had to lose his position, while in the 4-Test series played against Australia, he was kept out of the playing XI for the last 2 matches and he became the vice-captain of the team. Neither were. Looking at all these things, it will be interesting to see what decision BCCI takes on Rahul till the ODI World Cup to be played this year.

KL Rahul has played a total of 47 Tests, 54 ODIs and 72 T20 International matches in his international career so far. He has scored 2642 runs in Tests at an average of 33.44, 1986 runs in ODIs at an average of 45.13 and 2265 runs in T20 Internationals at an average of 37.75 and a strike rate of 139.12.
