There will be winter holidays in Delhi government schools from January 1 to January 15. Schools will remain closed for classes 1 to 8, while remedial classes will be held for students from classes 9 to 12. The Directorate of Education has instructed government schools to hold remedial classes from January 1 to January 10. In these classes, students will be given practice and revision of pre-board question papers. Along with this, how to solve the question paper will be taught. By practicing the syllabus in these classes, their learning level will be improved.

On behalf of Dr. Anita Vats, District Deputy Director of Education (School) in the Directorate of Education, a circular has been issued to the schools asking them to conduct these classes from January 1 to January 10. In morning shift schools, these classes will be held from 8:30 am to 12:50 noon, while in evening shift schools, classes will be held from 1:30 pm to 5:50 pm. English, Science and Mathematics subjects will be taught compulsorily for classes 9th and 10th. The duration of one period in these classes should not be less than one hour. Attendance of students is mandatory during remedial classes.

The Directorate of Education has directed school heads to make teachers practice the question papers of class 10th and 12th pre-board. Teachers guide students how to solve questions in the right way. School heads have been asked to prepare a timetable for remedial classes before the start of winter vacations. Its copy will have to be submitted to the concerned District Deputy Education Director Zone in advance. To come to these classes, children will have to come in school uniform. The District Deputy Director of Education (District and Zone) will visit at least two schools daily to ensure that the remedial program is running properly during the winter vacations.
