CISF woman constable Supriya Nayak had gone out for a walk on the morning of October 2. During this time a miscreant tried to snatch the chain from his neck. Supriya Nayak caught the accused. It is being told that two attackers came on a motorcycle and tried to snatch the chain from his neck. She was successful in catching one criminal, while the other managed to escape on a bike.
Constable Nayak shouted for help and people passing by immediately helped him. He immediately contacted the PCR helpline number of Delhi Police. Delhi Police personnel immediately reached the spot and investigated the matter. The arrested suspect was detained for further action, while Constable Nayak was taken to LBS Hospital for medical examination.
Director General CISF appreciated the courageous act of Constable Nayak. His prompt response not only prevented a crime but also displayed the values of vigilance, courage and valor in service and personal life.
