On the afternoon of May 21, a woman got the door of a house opened and entered inside on the pretext of begging in Shiv Colony adjacent to GT Road passing through the middle of Sikandrarau Nagar. She made the teenager present in the house unconscious and stole Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and gold jewelery worth lakhs of rupees. The incident came to light when the girl’s mother returned home. A report has been lodged against an unknown woman in this regard.
Pramod Kumar Baghel, resident of Sikandrarau, is an advocate and practices law in the tehsil. While filing the report, Pramod has said that on Tuesday, his wife had gone out for some work at his Shiv Colony residence at around 11.30 am. His 13-year-old daughter Priya was alone at home. When his wife returned home at two in the afternoon, she saw that the main door of the house was open. Priya was lying unconscious inside the house.
When Priya regained consciousness, she told that a woman had come to beg for flour. When she opened the door and came inside, the woman also followed her and made her unconscious. The advocate said that his wife found the entire house in disarray. The woman took away Rs 2.5 lakh in cash, a pair of gold earrings, two chains, two bangles and a gold necklace kept in the room.
