The woman died after being given an injection by a dentist in Balra village of Sidhwalia police station area of the district. The woman had gone to the doctor’s clinic for dental treatment. After this incident, the family members created a ruckus when they reached the clinic. The police arrived after receiving the information and calmed down the matter. Taking the body in its custody, it sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and started investigating the case. The deceased was identified as Lilavati Devi, 36, wife of Shailes Mahato, resident of Balra village.
It is said that the deceased Lilavati Devi was suffering from toothache late on Wednesday evening. After which Barhima Mode went to a dentist in a private nursing home near the village. The deceased’s husband told that his wife died in the clinic itself due to wrong injection given by the doctor. After that, his compounder Deepu Kumar loaded the deceased in a Bolero vehicle and took him to Gopalganj Sundar Hospital on the pretext of treatment, where the doctor declared him dead. The doctor left his clinic and ran away. Regarding the matter, the husband has given a written application in the local police station requesting to take legal action against the doctor and the compounder.
Case registered against both
In this case, Sidhwalia police station incharge said that the body of the woman was taken into custody, post-mortem was conducted at Sadar Hospital and the body was handed over to the family members. Also the matter is being investigated. The husband of the deceased has given a written application and registered a case against the doctor and the compounder.
