The 108th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modiâs monthly radio address âMann Ki Baatâ attracted a large audience on Sunday. Women from the Muslim community in Old Delhi turned out in large numbers for a special telecast at the Womenâs Park near Jama Masjid.
The special telecast organized by the Indian Minorities Foundation, an NGO, comes at a time when the BJP is making conscious efforts to reach out to all communities beyond its core voters with an eye on next yearâs Lok Sabha elections. The broadcast attracted Muslim participants of various age groups, especially women.
âMann Ki Baatâ is a platform for PM Modi to communicate directly with the people. He is using this platform to raise issues of national importance with the people. Also encouraging them to become stakeholders in the pursuit of a âdeveloped nationâ in the coming years. Giving her opinion on PM Modiâs radio address to ANI on Sunday, Shabana Rehman, one of the attendees of the broadcast, said, âWe all have gathered here to listen to PM Modiâs âMann Ki Baatâ. We all support PM Modi.
Calling PM Modi âbhaijaanâ, Shabana Rehman underlined his efforts to reach out to different communities. He said, âNo other party or government has done as much for us as this government has done. Be it triple talaq or giving benefits of government social welfare schemes. PM Modi has done a lot for us. He is our âbhaijaanâ.
