This disease can happen to anyone, male or female.
Breast cancer can happen to anyone, male or female. In breast cancer, cells start growing in an uncontrolled manner. Then as it grows, it takes the form of a lump. Which is called tumor. If the disease is detected in time, it can be treated. But the problem with this is that it can happen again. Even after breast cancer surgery, apart from the breast, it can also spread to other parts of the body. This is called metastasis. However, breast cancer is rarely found in men in India. According to the World Health Organization, most cases of breast cancer occur in women. Every year 21 lakh women suffer from breast cancer. In the year 2018, 6,27,000 (15%) women died due to breast cancer.
